Preschool Granbacken is a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool in Sävar, opened in 2015. We have five home sites with age-related groups: Viljan, Tilliten, Lyckan, Fröjden and Glädjen. The heart of the building is Torget - our common meeting place for democracy, interaction and creativity. Children, teachers and parents meet here during the day for drop-off and pick-up, singing together and activities such as role-play, instrument playing, dancing and building games. We also have a studio, "the hands of the house", where the children's creative processes can take shape. The environment is central to us. We create inviting meeting places together with the children and design environments that encourage play, curiosity and participation. We observe and reflect on the children's exploration in order to develop and change the environment according to their needs and interests. The preschool's proximity to the forest also provides rich opportunities for exploration and nature-based learning. Your tasks In your role as a preschool teacher, you will run and develop activities at the preschool in in accordance with the objectives of the curriculum and the unit's governing documents. You will adapt the activities to the individual child and to the group of children, the context and the situation. You stimulate and challenge each child's development and learning by offering an exploratory and educational environment where learning takes place in everyday, playful and instructive contexts. The tasks also include following up and communicating each child's learning and development with the child and with the families, and designing the activities based on fundamental democratic values. About you We are looking for you who are a trained preschool teacher and have a teaching license / applied for a teaching license. We would like you to have previous experience of working in a preschool. We would also like you to have: VFU supervisor training Good theoretical knowledge of child development, learning and care needs and how to lead a group of children in educational activities. Good knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and the ability to put the content into practice. Good ability and experience in leading and organizing work to create a meaningful, fun and safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation. Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of how to use pedagogical documentation (observation, reflection and documentation) as part of the systematic quality work. Good ability to communicate the goals and working methods of the organization as well as children's development and learning with the guardians both in speech and in writing Good ability to cooperate The position requires you to have a good command of spoken and written Swedish and a basic knowledge of English.
