Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school offering preschool through third grade, as well as a specialized elementary school program focused on specific subject areas. We are now looking for a preschool teacher!

Employment Information

This is a permanent, full-time position, starting November 2, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work as a preschool teacher and in the after-school program. You will have overall responsibility for planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and developing instruction in the preschool class based on the curriculum’s goals and guidelines.

The role involves planning responsibility for instruction in the preschool class as well as shared mentorship for a group of 25 students. You are responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and educational environment where the students’ development and learning are the focus.

The position is a summer substitute position of 40 hours per week and also includes collaboration in the after-school program during scheduled times. The role involves contributing to the after-school program’s activities through close collaboration with colleagues to create a cohesive and meaningful day for the students.

About You

As a person, you are committed, flexible, positive, and solution-oriented. You are able to lead colleagues and drive development initiatives. In your work, you guide children and groups of children; you spark curiosity and find it easy to build relationships and collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Certified teacher qualified to teach preschool
• Valid criminal background check
• Good command of spoken and written Swedish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching in preschool
• Experience teaching Swedish as a Second Language (SVA)
