Tomtebogård is located at Tomtebo in the eastern part of Umeå, close to nature on the shores of Lake Nydala. Here, just over 240 pupils play and learn in the school and 60 children in the preschool. The units have a natural and close collaboration between teachers, preschool teachers, recreational educators and childcare workers. Tomtebogård school is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year it receives student teachers on their practical training, VFU. Type of employment The position is a temporary position, part-time 80%, from 2026-03-02 until 2026-06-18. Work tasks Your task as a teacher in primary school is to plan teaching based on the curriculum, but also to do more comprehensive planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate and analyze teaching and assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal achievement. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing pupils and guardians about the pupils' learning progress and sometimes, individually or together with a colleague, having mentoring responsibilities. About you You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment, structure and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary teaching based on the needs of the students. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. Building good relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents is an important part of the teaching role. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
