Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a F-9 school with adapted primary school and hearing activities.
We have about 550 students and 100 teachers at the school. The teachers at Hagaskolan are competent, committed and flexible. We know and show that all students can learn. We use a wide range of methods, tools and our good subject knowledge in our teaching. Through clear leadership, we challenge our students and build trusting relationships. We organize teaching according to pupils' needs and create conditions for pupils to participate in and influence teaching. Pupils' experiences and knowledge are a starting point for teaching.
Education should, among other things, provide knowledge and values, contribute to personal development, social community and provide a good basis for active participation in society. Teaching is carried out in collaboration with teachers, preschool teachers, subject teachers, special needs teachers, special educators, recreational educators and resource educators.

Duties and responsibilities
Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan teaching on the basis of the curriculum, but also to do more comprehensive planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate and analyze teaching and assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal achievement. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing pupils and guardians about the pupil's learning progress and sometimes, individually or together with a colleague.
About you
You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment, structure and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary teaching based on the needs of the students. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. Building good relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents is an important part of the teaching role.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Requirements
Teacher's license and qualification in wood and metalwork for grades 3-6
Valid extract from the criminal record
Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing
Meritorious
Additional subject qualifications in e.g. art, Swedish or mathematics
Experience of teaching wood and metalwork in grades 3-6
Experience of working with children and young people
Experience with sign language or sign support
