The preschool and comprehensive school administration is responsible for preschool, preschool class, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school and after-school care in the municipality. Preschools and compulsory schools in grades F-6 are divided into two geographical areas, Southwest and Northeast. Grades 7-9 are a single area. Each area is led by an area manager. We are now looking for a principal who wants to lead Ersängskolan and Östra Ersbodaskolan with the help of two assistant principals. Welcome to apply! Ersängsskolan is a multicultural F-9 school that is divided into two units: F-6 and 7-9. There is also one of the municipality's adapted primary schools for younger ages, which is led by another principal. In total there are about 400 pupils at the school. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries and nearby there is a football pitch and adventure playground. Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school with around 100 pupils from preschool class up to and including year 3. It is also one of the municipality's adapted primary schools for younger ages. It is run by a different head teacher. Pupils move on to Ersängsskolan in year 4. Östra Ersbodaskolan has good opportunities for outdoor activities. A library, an art football pitch and an outdoor track are right next to the school. Both schools are located in Östra Ersboda, where many cultures and nationalities are represented. Your tasks As principal, you have the ultimate responsibility for students and staff at Ersängs skola and Östra Ersbodaskolan. You lead the schools together with your deputy principals, one of whom currently leads the Östra Ersboda school and the other the 4-6 unit at Ersängsskolan. The assignment as principal means, among other things: leading and coordinating the educational work at the school deciding on the internal organization and allocation of resources quality assurance of teaching student health work responsibility for staff financial management staff planning, recruitment and rehabilitation employee and salary interviews overall systematic work environment management contacts and cooperation with external actors. Ersängsskolan is divided into different departments and teams in the school, but as we are ONE school, you are expected to be active not only in matters relating to the area you are responsible for but also other matters relating to the whole school. The management works in a team, the principal and two deputy principals, with a common development mission for Ersängsskolan and Östra Ersbodaskolan. You are part of the leadership team for compulsory school 7-9 and report to its area manager. About you We are looking for you who have a higher education in education, preferably with a focus on primary school. We want you to have solid experience of educational work in primary school. You have experience of leading educational work in at least an assistant principal role, but even better as a principal. It is an advantage if you have completed the national principal program. If you also have experience of working in a multicultural environment and experience of interacting with community actors in the vicinity of the school, it is positive. We are looking for you who have a clear vision for the school and can inspire and engage staff, students and parents in striving towards common goals. You are a good relationship builder who fosters good relations with staff, students and guardians. You also actively contribute to cooperation and collaboration within the management team to which you belong. It is important that you have a good ability to organize and plan the school's activities in a way that promotes learning and development. You also need to have clear and good communication skills and have the courage to make decisions and stand by them in relation to pupils, staff and guardians.
