We are now looking for a procurement officer who wants to take on an important role with a focus on school transport, transport services, vehicles and machines. Could this be you? Your tasks As a procurement officer in Umeå municipality, you have a central and independent role with responsibility for planning, implementing and following up procurements. You lead the process from needs analysis and preparation of tender documents to evaluation, contract signing and follow-up. In this role, you will provide expert support in procurement and contractual matters and help develop effective working methods and procedures. Legislation is an important tool, with a focus on creating sustainable and value-creating business for the municipality and its residents. Your main area of responsibility includes procurements in school transport, transport services, vehicles and machinery, but you also work with other procurement areas. The assignments are varied and you run several procurements in parallel. The role is based on close cooperation where different competencies complement each other. The businesses contribute with their expertise on needs and content, and you contribute with procurement expertise, structure and responsibility for implementation. About you We are looking for you who have a degree in procurement, purchasing, law, economics or other post-secondary education that we consider relevant. Alternatively, you have work experience that we consider equivalent. You have an interest in business and procurement issues and thrive in a role with many interfaces. You are structured, quality conscious and have the ability to plan, prioritize and run several processes simultaneously with the support of colleagues and established working methods.
