We are now looking for a project manager for the EU project Umeå Talent Lab!

Umeå Talent Lab aims to strengthen the Umeå region’s talent supply by developing forecasting and analysis methods, mapping and optimizing collaboration structures, and creating effective meeting places and matching services. Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the project’s operational and strategic implementation. The work includes, among other things:

• Ongoing project and process management, including planning, steering, coordination, communication, administration, and purchasing and procurement.
• Developing and implementing plans to integrate gender equality, accessibility, and equal treatment into all project activities, in accordance with the project’s goals and core values.
• Planning, facilitating, and conducting knowledge-building seminars, study visits, and other learning initiatives. The role also includes responsibility for organizing at least one conference in the field of workforce development with the aim of disseminating results, sharing experiences, and strengthening networks among relevant stakeholders.
• Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the project’s work packages to ensure quality, goal achievement, and progress. You will also be responsible for ensuring that methodological developments and lessons learned are integrated and applied in the project’s work.
• Responsibility for the project’s internal and external communication. This involves coordinating the flow of information between project participants, partners, and external stakeholders, as well as ensuring strategic and inclusive communication that promotes gender equality, diversity, and accessibility. A communication plan will be developed during the project’s initial phase and will serve as the foundation for ongoing communication efforts.

Requirements

• Degree in journalism or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Several years of experience in managing, leading, and reporting on EU projects.
• Experience with change management in complex projects.
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.

Additional Information

This is a part-time (50%) project-based position. The project will run from August 2026 through June 2029.
