Umeå is one of four locations in Sweden with the National Upper Secondary School for the Physically Disabled (Riksgymnasium för rörelsehindrade, RgRh) - an organization for young people with extensive physical disabilities who need an adapted course of study during upper secondary school. Riksgymnasiet consists of a school, a habilitation center and a dormitory that together provide students with support to develop and achieve their goals. Adjacent to Dragonskolan, one of Sweden's largest schools, is the habilitation center where interventions are provided individually and integrated into the school environment. The Habilitation team belongs to the Umeå Upper Secondary and Adult Education Board and works with students admitted to Riksgymnasiet. Habilitation is based on each student's conditions and aims at personal development and improved physical, mental and social function. The work is carried out in close collaboration between occupational therapist, counselor, physiotherapist, speech therapist, nurse and doctor - as well as in collaboration with schools, student homes and other actors. We are now looking for a psychologist to join our team! Your tasks The interventions are carried out in accordance with the Health and Medical Care Act (HSL) and are based on the student's individual needs. The work includes, among other things, individual conversations with students, investigations of cognitive functions and customary tasks for psychologists in habilitation. You contribute your professional expertise to the habilitation team and are responsible for a number of pupils, which means coordinating interventions and monitoring the pupil's development. Together with other professionals, you also participate in business development and quality work to constantly improve support and working methods within Riksgymnasiet. About you We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with an interest in working in an environment where young people's development is in focus. You have experience of individual counseling and investigations of cognitive functions, intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric conditions. Experience of working in habilitation and interdisciplinary teams is an advantage. We would like you to have further training in neuropsychology and experience of investigative work. As a person, you are structured, flexible and development-oriented. You have good planning and prioritization skills, are curious about contributing to the development of the business and see opportunities in change. Since cooperation with schools, student homes and other agencies is a central part of the assignment, you need to have good collaboration skills, initiative and an ability to create good relationships. You will be an important part of the team, but you will also enjoy working independently and taking responsibility for your own cases. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. To communicate with students, guardians and colleagues, the position requires you to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good digital skills.
