Ersboda adapted primary school is located at Östra Ersboda and Ersängsskolan. Ersängsskolan is located at Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural F-9 school. In total, there are around 360 pupils at the school. There is also an adapted primary school specializing in subjects in grades 1-6 and resource classes for the whole municipality. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries and nearby there is a football pitch and adventure playground. Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school with preschool classes up to and including year 3, as well as an adapted primary school for years 1-6. Competent staff and pupils from many different cultures work here. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities. A library, football pitch and electric light trail are right next to the school. The school is located in the residential area of Östra Ersboda, where many cultures and nationalities are represented. We are now looking for two substitute student assistants! Your tasks As a pupil assistant at the adapted primary school, your main task is to support pupils with special needs in their learning, development and daily activities. You will work to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment that enables each student to reach their full potential. Main duties: Teaching support: Assisting students during lessons by providing extra explanations and help with tasks. Accompanying pupils on field trips, excursions and other school-related activities to provide necessary support. Educational support: Provide support to pupils who have cognitive, motor or communication difficulties. Encourage and help students to be involved in classroom activities and social interaction. Practical support: Helping with personal needs, such as eating, dressing, transfers or other everyday tasks, if required. Provide support for pupils to follow routines and structure during the school day. Support pupils during break times and other extracurricular activities to ensure safety and social interaction. Social and emotional support: Work to promote students' self-confidence and independence. Manage conflicts and situations where pupils need extra emotional support, collaborating with other staff when necessary. Support pupils in developing social skills, communication and interaction with others. This job description can of course be adapted depending on the group of pupils, but it provides a basic overview of the most common tasks of a pupil assistant/resource in the adapted primary school. About you We are looking for you with at least a high school diploma who have experience working with children and young people with special needs. We would like you to be a trained childcare worker and have experience of working in LSS and/or IF. You are a safe adult and a good role model. You also have an ability to connect with students. You see each individual and create a safe environment in the school and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children with special needs as you are a very important part of their school day. You have good interpersonal skills, are responsive and find it easy to communicate and interact with pupils and other key professionals. You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to the children, relatives and other actors around the students. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work on continuous improvement. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
