Are you the one? Umeå municipality wants to strengthen elderly care and is now looking for several new employees who want to work as a quality assistant nurse!
Most of the elderly care's training and quality improvement efforts will take place close to the business, in the own workplace.
The quality assistant nurse has a key role in close collaboration with the unit manager and licensed staff to meet the need and contribute to practical daily learning for colleagues.
The role is part of a learning organization where the focus is on preventing risks, reinforcing learning and working systematically with quality issues in accordance with research and proven experience. Quality nurses promote good quality in care for older people.
About the role
As a quality assistant nurse, you will contribute to better quality for care recipients. Based on the Social Services Act, you work for a person-centered approach and to convey and anchor the elderly care routines and strengthen the employees' skills development.
You practically follow up the daily care work and work to ensure the quality of the performance of interventions, as part of assisting the unit manager in the systematic quality work. You are part of the local quality council of the workplace.
You have partial responsibility for induction, ensuring structure and support, and assessing training needs. You provide practical and theoretical guidance to staff in health and social care situations. Have good knowledge of the support teams that exist, in order to initiate reinforced efforts in consultation with the manager if necessary.
As a KUSK, you participate in and promote continuous learning in various meetings and trainings, hold workshops and micro trainings. Works closely with the elderly care's priority training initiatives and annual cycle.
You are expected to take delegations in order to support and train your colleagues in all relevant tasks in care homes.
All quality nurses are part of and train at the Competence Center. Quality nurses receive regular professional development in their role through the Competence Center
With your skills, a pedagogical approach and a good understanding of how language use affects learning, you work as a quality assistant nurse both close to care recipients and staff.
About you
Requirements: We are looking for you who are a trained nurse. You have several years of professional experience.
Meritorious: Specialist focus in nursing education, experience of training and supervision is meritorious.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Employment information
Permanent position with start according to agreement, daytime, Monday - Friday. Sparsely scheduled weekend work. Evening shifts may occur to capture the need for quality enhancing efforts in the evening and weekend.
