We have a shared strategy for education in our municipality: to create a cohesive educational pathway that contributes to greater equity, improved academic outcomes, and attractive educational opportunities. Here, all children, youth, and adults should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and develop their knowledge and skills. We know that this relies on dedicated, knowledgeable, and professional staff who provide high-quality instruction. We make a difference every day and are proud of our mission. We have Sweden’s most important job—our mission is to give young people hope for the future.
Would you like to join us and make a difference for our first-grade students and those in after-school care? Ålidhemsskolan is now looking for a dedicated resource teacher who wants to become an important part of our team!
About Ålidhemsskolan
Ålidhemsskolan is a pre-K through 9th-grade school with approximately 380 students. We have the great advantage of having a library, an after-school center, and the school all under one roof, which provides fantastic opportunities for collaboration and a vibrant learning environment. The school adopts a language-development and intercultural approach where peer-to-peer learning takes center stage. Our goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment where all students can thrive and feel optimistic about the future.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll have a varied and exciting assignment that spans both the school day and after-school care activities. You’ll work as a resource teacher in first grade, where you’ll support students to create a safe and accessible learning environment. One day a week, you’ll be responsible for teaching the class. After school ends, you’ll meet the students at the after-school program, where you’ll work with your colleagues to create a meaningful after-school experience for them.
About You
As a person, you’re flexible and organized. You thrive in a dynamic school environment and can quickly adapt to students’ needs without losing sight of structure. You find it easy and enjoyable to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents alike. You view collaboration as the key to a successful school experience and contribute positively to the team supporting the student. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
