Navet is Umeå’s largest indoor swimming pool and water park, located right in the heart of downtown. Our restaurant is now embarking on an exciting journey of development with several initiatives aimed at creating an even better experience for our guests. We’re now looking for a dedicated and positive restaurant assistant who wants to grow with us!
About the Position
In our dining area, we prepare fast-food-style meals as well as cold dishes such as sandwiches, salads, and some baked goods. We also sell pastries, ice cream, candy, and soft drinks.
As a restaurant assistant, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will be varied and include, among other things:
- Serving and customer service
- Cash register operations
- Preparing fast food
- Preparing sandwiches and pastries
- Washing dishes, cleaning, and tidying up
- Restocking supplies and conducting self-inspections
- Contributing to a pleasant and welcoming environment for our guests
We’re looking for someone who
- Has a high school diploma from the restaurant and food service program
- Have solid knowledge and experience working in a restaurant and/or café
- Have a good understanding of food safety and self-monitoring (HACCP)
- Are a good team player
- Take responsibility and work with attention to detail
- Want to work in a service-oriented environment where the customer is always the focus
Additional Information
The primary work location for this position is Navet. During the summer, Navet also opens its outdoor facility, UmeLagun, which features a restaurant for swimmers. During the summer, staff work at both Navet and UmeLagun.
Work hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
