Pupil health services in primary and lower secondary schools work in teams consisting of a school nurse, a school counselor, a school psychologist, the school's special needs teacher and the principal. We work based on the intention of the Education Act. Student health care should primarily work to promote health and prevention, at the individual, group and organizational level, to support the student towards the goals of education. We are now looking for two school nurses, one permanent position and one temporary position! Your tasks You will work to promote the physical and mental health of pupils in the school environment in collaboration with the school's student health team, staff, pupils and guardians. You work according to established directives and policy documents from the National Board of Health and Welfare and the National Agency for Education. You participate in health promotion, prevention and remedial work at individual, group and organizational level. You carry out health visits and vaccinations and participate in surveys of pupils in need of special support in collaboration with the student health team and school staff based on your medical expertise. About you You are able to work independently and enjoy managing and taking responsibility for your tasks. You will need to have good self-leadership and the ability to be flexible, as the school's mission is multifaceted. You will need to be a good team player as you will be interacting with other professions and authorities. Naturally, you will have a strong commitment to the health of children and young people. As you may work in several schools, we also expect you to have good planning skills and be flexible. We attach great importance to personal suitability. Requirements Registered nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse and/or school nurse. B-driving license, as travel is included in the service. Unrestricted knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, and basic knowledge of English. Valid extract from the criminal record, following the law on suitability control.
