Are you the one? The Pre- and Compulsory Education Administration works on behalf of the Pre- and Compulsory Education Committee.
The administration is a mission-focused and professional educational organization based on the school principal's responsibility for an equal education of good quality.
The Pre- and Compulsory School Board has overall responsibility for ensuring that all children registered in the municipality have access to pre-school and educational care, as well as schooling in the municipality's own or independent activities. The board is responsible for municipal preschools, including preschools in minority languages, educational care in the form of daycare and night-time activities, preschool classes, compulsory schools, adapted compulsory schools and after-school clubs. Duties and responsibilities
Security and preparedness coordinator is a newly created position that means that you will have a central role in building up, running and coordinating the pre- and compulsory school administration's work with the School Act's security chapter that came into force on July 1, 2025 and other preparedness issues within the framework of the administration's civil preparedness. You are part of a working group with premises planning expertise and collaborate with other functions within the administration and in the municipality's other administrations in your work to develop the pre-school and compulsory school's processes in security and preparedness issues. You will also provide advice and support to the organization on, for example, the design of pre-school and school playgrounds, accessibility adaptations and conduct safety tours of our premises.

You will report to the Permanent Secretary but will also play an important role in supporting the administrative management and the administration's principals in preschools and compulsory schools in security and preparedness issues. Your work is both strategic and operational and you are part of the pre-school and primary school administration's crisis management organization and in a municipality-wide network for security issues.
Your duties will include, among other things:
developing the administration's crisis organization and ensuring that the necessary plans are in place, known and practiced
planning, implementing and monitoring training and exercises to strengthen the preventive capacity of the pre-school and primary school administration
