Elderly care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Lundagård care home is located at Sofiehem, about 4 km from the center of Umeå, near Norrland University Hospital and Ålidhem Church. The home is newly built and opened in the fall of 2019. Lundagård is a collaborative house, which means that other municipal activities are also located in the house: preschool and kitchen. The approximately 100 children who attend the preschool have their outdoor environment in connection with the housing's outdoor environment and in the preparation kitchen a large number of food portions are cooked and distributed to homes and preschools around Umeå municipality. In order for our nursing staff to be able to focus more on nursing, we are now looking for you who are interested in working with the surrounding chores that are also available at our care homes. This includes washing residents' clothes/staff clothing, cleaning residents' apartments, laundry room and other public areas. There is also kitchen/food handling. This includes receiving food, sorting and distributing it to the units, helping to serve meals and taking care of dishes. The tasks may also include, for example, support feeding, simple nursing and accompanying people on walks. About you We are looking for you who have experience of cleaning and/or laundry work. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in elderly care and / or if you have completed service resource / local care training. It is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, so that you can easily communicate with the residents, relatives and colleagues. You are a team player who understands the importance of working together. You value doing your job with good quality and have a high sense of service. To be successful in this role, you will also need to be good at taking instructions and working independently. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability!
