The Upper Secondary School and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's obligations under school legislation for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults and Swedish language teaching for immigrants. The board is also responsible for vocational rehabilitation and for municipal refugee reception. Adult education in Umeå municipality is responsible for issues relating to study and vocational guidance and adult education. Education is conducted both in-house, Umevux, and through procured providers. Adult education offers studies in Sfi, basic and general courses, vocational training and adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary level. We are now looking for a substitute SFI teacher! Your work tasks As an SFI teacher, you will teach Swedish as a second language to newly arrived adults. Teaching is conducted during the day, but evening classes may also occur. In addition to teaching, planning and follow-up of teaching is included. In collaboration with teams and colleagues, you are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work with the curriculum and municipal goals as a benchmark. About you We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with at least 30 credits in Swedish as a second language. You have experience of teaching, preferably to adults. We also welcome experience of distance learning. You have the ability to individualize and vary teaching based on students' needs. You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure, context and good relationships. If you have a teaching license, attach it.
