Ersängsskolan is located in Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural F-9 school that is divided into several smaller schools. In total, there are just over 400 pupils at the school. There is also a customized primary school focusing on subject areas and resource classes for the whole municipality. Your work tasks As a social educator with us, you are among the students during school hours and during leisure time at Ersängsskolan. Your mission is to: Be present and build relationships with students and staff Notice and take early action against norm-breaking behavior Participate in meetings with guardians Hold thematic training / information for groups of students with a focus on, for example, value-based work or to increase confidence in society's support functions, social services and police, etc. Provide social, emotional support to individuals and groups of pupils; e.g. support to get to school Facilitate dialog between parents and school Collaborate with other professions to facilitate pupils and guardians. Promote the inclusion of pupils in different types of extracurricular activities About you We are looking for you who have relevant training in psychosocial work, you can e.g. be a trained social educator. You have many years of experience working in schools with students whose mother tongue is not Swedish. You also have experience of working with students in leisure activities. To succeed in the job, you need to be a flexible and stable person who enjoys working with both children and adults in a school environment. You build good relationships with students and have good empathic skills. You will find it easy to cooperate and communicate with colleagues, guardians and other partners. Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required for the position, in order to communicate with pupils, guardians and colleagues.
