Social Secretary, Adult Unit Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Social secretary
Work model On location
Application due date 3 March 2026
Are you the one? At the Adult Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with people in difficult life situations - and be part of their journey towards change.
We work with adults who need support around harmful use and addiction and domestic violence. We also deal with issues around housing and social contracts, making our work both broad and meaningful. We are the first contact for the citizen where we work with preliminary assessment and hold together investigation and assistance for the individual. There is also the opportunity to work partly on the Social Emergency Service.
The adult unit consists of two groups of almost 30 employees who work with reception, support and exercise of authority in areas such as addiction, domestic violence and housing. The unit also has unit managers and group leaders who provide support in the daily work. We have a warm and supportive work climate with committed colleagues, regular supervision from group leaders and good opportunities for skills development. We offer flexible working hours, remote working and a wellness allowance. We know you're doing an important job, and we want you to thrive.
We are now looking for two social workers who want to work with adult issues and who are passionate about our target groups!
Work tasks
You will work with the target group of adults from 18 years and up, but the target group can vary if we need to help other units. Primarily with people with harmful use and dependence, often in combination with mental illness. Processing applications for accommodation is also part of your duties.
At the Adult Unit, we have a clear focus on giving our municipal residents the best possible support at home, our view is that this is best done through collaboration between our units and other actors around the individual. Being flexible in finding the best solutions for the individuals you work with in collaboration with others will therefore be an important part of your work. You will be in close contact with clients, offering support, guidance and motivation. You are an important part of creating security and stability, both through conversational support and through concrete efforts. In the assignment, you will also participate actively and drive the development of the business forward with a focus on change work.
The work consists of exercising authority, that is:
Investigation
Reasoning
Decision-making
Follow-up
About you
We are looking for you who are trained as a social worker and have experience of exercising authority. We would like to see that you have experience of working with people with harmful use and dependence and handling cases according to LVM and LVU and work with homelessness. You may also have experience of working with domestic violence and honor issues. You also have training and experience of working with ASI, MI, FREDA, solution-focused approach and Treserva.
You have a good ability to meet and listen to people. You are also good at taking your own initiative and have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions. The work is unpredictable, which requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize at short notice. As we often meet people in difficult life situations, it is important that you as a person are secure and stable. You work well with other professions and thrive in organizations that are prone to change with a focus on development. Furthermore, you can express yourself fluently in Swedish in speech and writing and you have high strength in documentation and legally secure processing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
The service requires a B driving license.
A warm welcome with your application!
