Your tasks
Within Utredning Äldre we meet people from 65 years and up who, due to aging and its consequences, need support and help. We receive applications, investigate and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and follow up the decisions to ensure that each individual has their needs met. We investigate according to the model IBIC, Individens Behov i Centrum.
You work independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues, other professionals and businesses both internally and externally. The unit consists of about 40 employees and our office is centrally located in Umeå.
About you
We are looking for you who are a trained social worker with a few years of experience of exercising authority where you have carried out investigations and decisions based on the Social Services Act (SoL). You can express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have a B driving license.
In the role of social secretary, you often meet people in difficult life situations, so it is important that you as a person are safe and stable and can see the needs of the individual and put it into a larger perspective. You are good at taking your own initiative and can work independently, but you also have good cooperation skills and see collaboration issues as a natural part of your work. The work requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize at short notice as the workload can be high during periods. You want to actively participate in developing the business and contribute to a good working environment. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
