About the unit The Elderly Investigation Unit consists of about 40 employees and has its office in central Umeå. We meet people aged 65 and over who need support and help due to the consequences of ageing. We process applications, investigate and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and follow up efforts to ensure that the needs are met. Your work tasks As a social secretary, you will work to: Receive applications and notifications Investigate and make decisions according to SoL, with the support of the IBIC model (Individens Behov i Centrum) Document and follow up interventions Collaborate with colleagues, relatives and other actors You meet people in different life situations and provide support and guidance. The role requires independence, flexibility and the ability to prioritize, but also provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of future elderly care. About you We are looking for you who have: A degree in social work Several years of experience of exercising authority where you have made investigations and decisions based on the Social Services Act (SoL) Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Have a B driving license In addition to this, it is an advantage if you have experience of exercising authority according to SoL with a focus on elderly care, and if you have knowledge of Sami or Finnish. As a person, you are confident, stable and flexible. You have a good ability to prioritize and cooperate with internal and external parties. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
