Ingången is an activity within Umeå municipality's social services and belongs organizationally to the unit for prevention. Ingången is the social services part of the Youth Clinic in Umeå and, together with the rest of the Youth Clinic, is LGBTQ-certified. The entrance is aimed at young people aged 12-22 with thoughts and concerns, or concerns for themselves or others, regarding alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco and nicotine products and gambling (ANDTS) as well as norm-breaking behaviors. Parents and other adults are also welcome to get in touch. The business offers early interventions, counseling and conversation support without an assistance decision.

Now we are looking for you who want to substitute as a social secretary with us!

Your tasks

As a social secretary with us at Ingången, you will work with young people up to 22 years and relatives. You will, among other things, work with:

• Counseling and information about ANDTS and norm-breaking behaviors.
• Motivation, advice and support for change.
• Help to contact other social services or other activities if necessary.
• Personal meetings, conversations by phone or digitally via computer.
• Collaborate with internal and external collaboration partners.
• Participate in information meetings.
• Disseminate knowledge about risk use, harmful use and dependence.

About you

We are looking for you who have a good collaborative ability and enjoy working with colleagues and other actors. You also have a good ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assignment. Furthermore, you are structured in your working methods, which contributes to quality, legal certainty and good planning in your daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Social worker education or other higher education we consider relevant to the assignment.
• Experience of working with risk use or dependence on alcohol, drugs or gambling.
• Experience of social work with young people and families.
• Experience of holding individual conversations with young people.
• Experience of collaboration with other professions.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

Meritande

• Training / experience of Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• In-depth training in risk use, harmful use and addiction and norm-breaking behavior / crime.
• Experience in leading group discussions.
• Experience of working in social services.
• Experience of working with relapse prevention.
• Knowledge of mental illness.
