Carlslundsskolan is a new upper secondary school that opened in the fall semester of 2024 in the Carlslund area.
The municipality's adapted primary school grades 7-9 is an integral part of the school. Carlslundsskolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year it receives student teachers on their clinical placement, VFU. We are now looking for a substitute special education teacher!
Your tasks
In the role of special education teacher, you contribute with special education expertise as a support in the daily educational work and in the overall planning of student health work. You work preventively and health-promoting in close collaboration with the principal and other staff, with a focus on creating accessible learning environments and increasing students' goal achievement.
You will also:
Identify and analyze obstacles and difficulties in different teaching and learning environments and participate in preventive work and follow up, evaluate and support the development of the activities.
Supervise and act as a qualified interlocutor and advisor in educational matters for the school's educators, guardians and other stakeholders.
Participate in the work of educational investigations and analysis of obstacles and opportunities in the school environment.
Supervise the work of establishing, implementing and following up action programs.
About you
We are looking for you who are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize and vary your assignment based on the needs of the students. Furthermore, you have the ability to create good relationships with students and colleagues and have a desire to work in a learning organization. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
Requirements
Qualified special needs teacher
Experience of working as a special education teacher in grades 7-9
Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
Valid extract from the criminal record, as a result of the law on suitability control
Meritorious
Qualification to teach English for grades 7-9
Experience with flex teams
