Forslundagymnasiet is located in a beautiful rural setting only 5 km from Umeå city center. The upper secondary school has about 200 students, upper secondary special school and adult education in gardening, land and construction and vocational college gardener and operations manager. The school runs its own modern arable farm, with around 60 dairy cows, calves, a pig farm with sows and piglets, and a sheep herd. There are 190 hectares of arable land for crop cultivation, all of which is now produced organically. The milk that Forslunda supplies to Norrmejerier is organic. The school also has a horse stable, a dog training hall and an animal house with around 100 different species of small animals. The school also has a dormitory. Your tasks You will supervise teachers and support students in their education. You will be part of the school's student health team together with the school nurse, counselor, study and career counselor and student consultant. A school psychologist and school doctor are available when needed. The tasks include health promotion, prevention and remedial student health work. This includes consultation, support, guidance and training for staff. Lesson visits, educational investigations and consultations with pupils and guardians are also included. You contribute with data for decisions such as the establishment of action programs or applications for additional amounts. The assignment also includes supervision of teachers if necessary. You are a discussion partner in special educational issues and collaborate with the principal, deputy principal and other professional roles in the student health team. You participate in the school's development work and systematic quality work, and collaborate with educators to develop teaching and learning environments. About you We are looking for you who have a degree in special education and teaching qualifications for upper secondary and/or lower secondary school. You have a teaching license and preferably experience of special education assignments at secondary or upper secondary school level. You are familiar with the school's governing documents and have the ability to adapt teaching based on the students' individual needs. You are a clear leader with good structure, relationship-building skills and a strong commitment to students in need of support. As a person, you are flexible, solution-focused and organized. You thrive in a role where you make a difference in students' school day. As there are animals in the school, you should not be allergic.
