Ersboda adapted primary school is located at Östra Ersboda and Ersängsskolan.
Both schools are located in the district of Östra Ersboda. Ersängsskolan is a multicultural F-9 school. In total, there are around 360 pupils at the school. There is also an adapted primary school specializing in subjects in grades 1-6 and resource classes for the whole municipality. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries and nearby there is a football pitch and adventure playground.
Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school with preschool classes up to and including year 3, as well as an adapted primary school for years 1-6. Competent staff and pupils from many different cultures work here. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities. The library, football pitch and electric track are right next to the school.
We are now looking for special teachers with a focus on intellectual disabilities!
Your work tasks
You will work as a special teacher in adapted primary school subject areas where you are responsible for teaching based on current curricula. You work in close collaboration with your team and other educators at the school. You create a good collaboration with guardians and actively participate in the development work at the school. You work closely with our other educators at the school, student health and the principal.
About you
As a person you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children with special needs as you are a very important part of their school day. Based on your profession, you have a good knowledge of pupils' development and learning and can identify and work based on the individual's needs at organizational, group and individual level. You have good interpersonal skills, are responsive and able to communicate and interact easily with pupils and other key professionals in the target group. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
Requirements
Preschool teacher or primary school teacher degree
Experience of working with pupils in adapted primary schools
Valid extract from the criminal record, due to the law on suitability control
Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and good knowledge of English
Meritorious
Licensed special education teacher with a focus on IF
Experience of working with students / young people with intellectual disabilities
