The Upper Secondary School and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's obligations under school legislation for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults and Swedish language teaching for immigrants. The board is also responsible for vocational rehabilitation and for municipal refugee reception. We are now looking for a student assistant who wants to contribute to a safe and structured school environment where students can grow - both socially and academically. With us, you will work closely with the students and, together with teachers and student health, create a positive and developing school day. This includes assisting in teaching, clarifying tasks, and planning work together with teachers and other assistants. You are close to the pupils in the classroom, during breaks and when picking up and dropping off taxis, as well as helping with changing in connection with sports and swimming. As a student assistant, you will be part of a team with teachers and student health services, working together to create safe, meaningful and educational days for students. You play an important role in creating a safe school environment and in providing students with the right support to develop according to their abilities. A key part of your role is to motivate and stimulate students in their development and learning. The role also involves some documentation. About you We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on childcare or nursing, or equivalent skills. The position requires relevant work experience in AAC (Alternative and Complementary Communication). It is an advantage if you have experience of working with people on the autism spectrum, of low-effective treatment and of working with young people with special needs or in educational activities. You are a confident and stable adult who acts as a good role model and connects easily with students. You see each individual and help to create a safe and supportive school environment. You cooperate well with others and have a calm and respectful approach. We work on the basis of a low-effective approach where your own calm is an important foundation. In the role, you need to take great personal responsibility and have patience in the meeting with the students. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. In order for you to be able to develop the pupils' language skills and be able to communicate with pupils, guardians and colleagues, document and take part in the school's governing documents, you need to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
