Berghemsskolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year it receives student teachers on their practical training, VFU. Employment information The position is a temporary position, part-time 60%, starting immediately, by agreement until 2026-03-27. Your work tasks You will work towards class/classes with students who have particularly high needs for extended care and/or an adapted learning environment in close collaboration with the mentor, student health and leisure staff to plan and implement teaching that will enable a good learning environment for the student/pupils. About you We are looking for you who have an upper secondary school diploma and experience of working with children/pupils in need of extra care and/or special support. We would like to see that you are a trained student assistant, childminder or have a behavioral science / educational education. You are a confident adult and a good role model. You also have an ability to connect with students. You see each individual and create a safe environment in school and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children with special needs as you are a very important part of their school day. You have good interpersonal skills, are responsive, and find it easy to communicate and interact with pupils and other key professionals in the target group. In order to develop the pupils' language skills, communicate with pupils, guardians and colleagues, as well as document and take part in the school's governing documents, you need to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing.
