The school is located in a residential area three kilometers from Umeå city center. The school has an inviting schoolyard and is close to a park and forest. We want to train our students in the ability to cooperate and learn with their peers. All pupils should be able to develop as far as possible on their own terms. All pupils have the right to a good working environment, which is why the school offers a structured and predictable school day and teaching. Your tasks Together with the teaching teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that students with extensive needs receive a safe and meaningful schooling and after-school activities. The work is done in close collaboration with the school's student health and other staff to create a learning environment that is adapted to each student's individual conditions. The assignment includes providing support in the teaching situation, offering structure and supervision throughout the school day and implementing activities that promote the student's development. You work on the basis of the teacher's planning and translate it into practical pedagogical support to help the pupil achieve their goals. About you We are looking for you who are a trained student assistant, childcare worker, social educator or have other equivalent education. You have experience of working with children and of supporting students with NPF, autism and language disorders. It is meritorious if you have: post-secondary education with a focus on pedagogy, behavioral science or special education, experience of qualified work with children with severe behavioral problems experience of working in schools, especially in adapted primary schools. As a person you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children with SEN and understand the important role you play in their school day. You will receive continuous supervision from the school health team and will be a key member of the team. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
