Grisbacka skola is a F-6 school located at Grisbacka in one of Umeå's older neighborhoods.
The large schoolyard invites to play, games and movement. Nearby are parks, ski trails and forests. With driven and competent staff, confident and motivated students and good cooperation with guardians, we take learning seriously. We are now looking for a substitute student assistant for our school!
Employment information
The position is a temporary position, full-time, with planned start 2026-01-07 or by agreement until 2026-06-26.
Your tasks
In this position, you work as a student resource in a class at the middle school (grades 4-6), with the main responsibility for supporting students with medical needs. The role involves being close to the pupil during the school day, both in the classroom and during breaks, and providing the necessary support to enable the pupil to participate in the teaching in the best possible way.
As a resource in the classroom, you also contribute to the educational development of both the student you support and other students. You actively participate in teaching and work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. The work involves adapting support measures to the student's needs, while encouraging independence and challenging the student in a developmental way.

You are a confident and stable adult who acts as a good role model, with the ability to build good relationships with students. You see each individual and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment, while collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals. Requirements:
Successful completion of secondary education
Experience working with children and young people
Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and basic knowledge of English
Valid extract from the criminal record, following the law on suitability control
Meritorious:
Knowledge of type 1 diabetes
