Stöcksjö skola is located in an area with nature around the corner. The beautiful local environment is used in a natural way in the work. There are about 120 students at the school. We have small classes and the school is single-sex. Our goal is to prepare students in the best possible way for the future. They should grow and feel the desire to learn. Your tasks

The role includes providing active and close support to students in need of extra adaptations and special support during both school hours and leisure time. The work involves being available throughout the day as a continuous support for the students, focusing on promoting their knowledge development, removing obstacles in learning and supporting them in situations that require social interaction.

You help students develop their abilities in a safe and adapted learning environment, at a pace that is based on each student's individual needs. The aim is to give pupils the best possible conditions to develop both academically and socially. The after-school activities also include the usual tasks in accordance with the after-school program's mission according to the curriculum.

In the absence of a regular teacher, work as a substitute in the class may be relevant.

About you

You are a confident adult and a good role model. You also have an ability to connect with students. You see each individual and create a safe environment in the school and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support as you are a very important part of their school day.

You have good teamwork skills, are responsive and have easy to communicate and interact with students and for the target group other important professional groups. You have a good ability to collaborate and have a professional approach to the children, relatives and other actors around the students. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work on continuous improvement. We attach great importance to personal suitability.

Requirements

  • Trained childcare worker
  • Experience working with children in need of extraordinary support
  • Experience with students with different types of disabilities/NPF
  • Knowledge in low-effective treatment
  • Experience working in after-school care
  • Experience working with younger students (6-10 years)
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
  • Valid extract from the criminal record, as a result of the law on suitability control

Meriterande

  • Kunskap/experience of TAKK
  • Pedagogical skills through, for example, training

Due to sparse public transport that does not match the working hours, we would like you to have a B-driving license and access to your own car, however, this is not a requirement if you can otherwise get to the workplace.
