We have a shared strategy for education in our municipality: to create a cohesive educational pathway that contributes to greater equity, improved academic outcomes, and attractive educational opportunities. Here, all children, youth, and adults should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and develop their knowledge and skills. We know that this depends on dedicated, knowledgeable, and professional staff who provide high-quality instruction. We make a difference every day and are proud of our mission. We have Sweden’s most important job—our mission is to instill hope for the future in young people.

Västangård School is a school for grades F–9. It is located in Umedalen, in a natural setting with beautiful buildings right next to the famous sculpture park. The school has approximately 450 students and about 50 ambitious educators. The school premises house the Umedalen Library, which has been awarded the title “World-Class Library.”

The school strives to provide students with the opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills needed for further studies and to face a complex world with hope and optimism about the future. Students should feel that they have a future to look forward to, where dreams can come true.

We are now looking for a student assistant!
