Umeå municipality is one of ten so-called model municipalities that have been chosen to work more specifically with disability policy. The Swedish Agency for Participation (MFD) and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions provide government grants and process support to the selected municipalities, which will also share their experiences. In this way, the Government wants to strengthen the local implementation of the national goal of achieving equality in living conditions and full participation for people with disabilities. We are now looking for a student in political science for a comparative and interview study on the overall governance of disability work. Are you the person we are looking for? The assignment The comparison and interview study is part of a feasibility study on the development of municipal disability policy. You will essentially: Find out and summarize how a number of municipalities comprehensively govern their disability work, through interviews and external monitoring. Conduct interviews within the organization - gather perspectives and input on the overall governance of disability work. Summarize the results in a report or equivalent, and present. The work is largely independent, but throughout your work you will have meetings with a supervisor, to ensure that you get the conditions required to succeed in the assignment. About you We are looking for you who have ongoing studies at the master's program in political science or policy bachelor's program. You are communicative, collaborative and have the ability to both pursue issues independently and actively seek collaboration with others. The work requires you to be analytical, structured, creative and have good judgment with high integrity.
