What does the job involve?

In disability care, you work with people who have mental, physical and intellectual disabilities. Your mission is to strengthen the individual's ability to live as independent a life as possible.

Common tasks include supporting with everyday chores, leisure activities, social contacts, personal hygiene and medicine. You can work in group or service housing, short-term housing and short-term stay for children and young people, daily activities, housing support or in personal assistance.

The working hours vary depending on the activity and can be scheduled day, evening, weekend, day night and awake night.

We are looking for you who:

• Are at least 18 years old.
• Preferably have previous care experience or relevant education, but it is not a requirement.
• Are positive, responsive, curious and have a genuine interest in people.
• Have a high work ethic and can work both independently as well as in groups.
• Preferably have a B driving license as it is needed in some of our activities.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing. It is a requirement to be able to communicate effectively and handle care documentation and obtain medication.

Other:

• Possibility of summer bonus when working awake at night based on certain criteria.
• As an old-age pensioner, we offer you 25% extra in salary during June, July and August.
• In June, you who are a new substitute and work your first summer in disability care will participate in an inspiring half-day workshop at the disability care learning center. The training session is a mandatory part of your induction and we look forward to seeing you there.
