We are now looking for a summer substitute for our digitization team in Umeå municipality's elderly care where technology meets care for real. Digitization for a safe, independent and sustainable elderly care Umeå municipality's elderly care is undergoing purposeful and exciting development work in which digital solutions play a central role. Our digitization team consisting of business developers, coordinators and IT technicians work both strategically and practically to develop solutions that really work in everyday life. What does the role involve? As a summer substitute, you get a varied and meaningful assignment. You will mainly work with our elderly in their homes, where you install technology, provide user support and create security around digital solutions. Examples of work tasks: Install and customize equipment (e.g. social alarms, digital locks, welfare technology) Provide user support and guidance to staff and citizens Service, support, documentation and administration Collaborate with IT, system management and care staff You will be an important link between technology and people, ensuring that solutions work where they are needed most, in everyday life. About you This is a perfect opportunity for those with a strong interest in technology or another background where you combine technical understanding with a desire to help others. We are looking for you who thrive in the meeting between technology and people. You have an ongoing post-secondary education perhaps in IT, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, social worker or experience in the field of technology that the employer considers relevant. But the most important thing for us is who you are as a person. We believe you are curious and solution-oriented. You have good experience working with computers and digital tools and are a good communicator. As part of the work is practical, we would like you to be comfortable handling simple tools and technical equipment, for example in connection with installations. You enjoy helping others and have a good understanding of people's different needs. You can explain technology in a simple, friendly and educational way, and are confident and responsive when dealing with people in different life situations. You take responsibility, work independently when required, but also enjoy collaborating and being part of a team. And when something does not work as it should, you see it as an exciting challenge to solve. Since you are often out in the field, you need to have a B driving license. Previous experience in healthcare and IT support is an advantage, but the most important thing is your attitude, your commitment and that you want to make a difference. Other information The services are summer temporary, from 2026-06-01 to 2026-08-30. Training can take place by agreement. We check ID documents on the candidates we interview.
