The City Management Office includes the Department of Finance and Governance. The department has about 45 employees led by a finance director and five process managers; accounting, budget, governance and coordination, procurement and finance. Our task is to support the municipal management (including the municipal board and the municipal council) with relevant and adequate decision-making data in the field of finance. The task is also to provide, develop and manage structures, systems and processes for the financial processes.

Your tasks:

In the role of accounting economist, you will work with customary tasks in the ledger, which may include:

• Managing invoice files and invoices
• Import/export of payment files
• Managing overdue invoices
• Collection and reminders
• Posting in registers for ledgers and other system administration
• Investigations
• Support and support

The work includes ongoing contacts both within and outside the municipality's activities.

About you

We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on economics. You can also have a KY education with a focus on accounting economist or the equivalent or at least one year of education at college / university in the field of finance. You also need to have good knowledge of Excel and in the Office package applications as well as unhindered knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

We would like to see that you have experience of financial work, such as work with ledgers and central accounting tasks in financial systems, have handled system files linked to the process and have experience of collaborating and supporting the business.

Your personal qualities are very important. You are communicative, and a person who actively takes initiative. You are meticulous, systematic and structured and have good teaching skills. You have a problem-solving approach. In your future role, it is important that you cooperate well with others and enjoy working in teams. You have the ability to develop and improve daily working methods and routines together with colleagues. In dialog with different stakeholders, you are responsive and unpretentious. You enjoy learning new things and are driven by continuous improvement.
