The leisure administration in Umeå municipality wants to contribute to a good living environment by creating good opportunities for active leisure with sports, exercise, recreation and public health. Its area of responsibility includes the operation of sports and leisure facilities, leisure, excursion and recreation areas, facilities for leisure boats and initiatives in leisure fishing and outdoor recreation. Through the municipality's joint Associations Office, the Leisure Administration is responsible for the overall preparation, follow-up and evaluation of the municipality's support for associations and for strengthening contacts between the municipality's various representatives and organized associations. The hub is Umeå's largest swimming pool and adventure pool in the city center. We opened our doors in 2016 and in our modern premises we offer swimming, exercise, relaxation and experiences for everyone. We have about 50 employees working in swimming, operations and restaurant and during the summer the staff is also distributed to Umelagun, which is a temperate outdoor pool adjacent to Nydalabadet's beach located at the northern end of Lake Nydala. We are now looking for you who want to be a key person in leading the daily work at our bathhouse and creating a safe, welcoming environment for our visitors! Your tasks You will have a supervisory role in a lively and eventful environment where you have full or shared responsibility for, among other things, business planning, customer safety, updating in Senovic (daily management system) and training of new employees. You will also lead and distribute the work of the bathing staff in terms of maintaining good hygiene in the facility and maintaining good service to visitors. The service also includes that you will have contact with schools and associations, and act as a link between the customer and others in the facility. About you You enjoy having many tasks in parallel and you have a desire to provide good service to both visitors and colleagues. The pace can sometimes be high, so we see that you are stress-resistant and can keep calm even when unexpected situations arise. As a person, you have good work management skills. You work well with others, communicate clearly and are able to make informed decisions. You are solution-oriented and find ways forward when challenges arise. You also have: A good secondary school diploma Water rescue skills equivalent to the Gold Buoy and CPR training Good computer skills B driving license Good verbal and written communication skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, in order to communicate effectively with visitors to the facility and ensure their safety. Knowledge of standards for public bathing facilities and previous experience as a manager is an advantage for this position.
