Umeå fritid is responsible for offering Umeå's residents a rich, equal, equal and sustainable leisure offer, where children and young people's participation and opportunity for development have a special position. The area of responsibility includes the operation of sports, swimming and leisure facilities, leisure and recreation areas, the municipality's leisure centers and activities for young people and people with disabilities. In Fritid Unga, we work with youth issues such as open activities, holiday activities, events and area work. The recreation centers are our open activities, which are mainly conducted in the evening. To create security and provide the best possible conditions for good living conditions, Fritid Unga participates in the municipality's area work through local prevention councils. Fritid Unga's focus area is youth participation, a learning activity in a variety of democratic processes. The department also includes Fritid för alla, which is our activity for adults with disabilities. The target group is mainly young people aged 13-17, but we also run activities for young adults aged 15-23. We also run an activity for adults with disabilities called Fritid för alla. The meeting places are located throughout Umeå municipality, including Sävar, Hörnefors and Holmsund/Obbola. We are members of KEKS (quality and competence in collaboration), which means a strong focus on youth participation and influence. We are now looking for a confident and responsive supervisor who, together with both employees and our target group, can contribute to an even better leisure time for adults with disabilities and all young people in Umeå! Your work tasks As a supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, managing and distributing the daily tasks of the meeting place. You will build supportive relationships with young people and support them in their development into confident adults. The work involves collaboration with internal and external contacts with a focus on creating the greatest possible value for the organization. You are responsible for the operating budget, are the contact person for the meeting place and are responsible for staff planning and scheduling in consultation with the unit manager. You will be part of the extended management team together with the other supervisors, heads of unit and head of operations. Your role as supervisor includes tasks as a leisure leader. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a trained leisure leader or have another adequate education that we consider relevant. We would like to see that you have previous experience of a supervisory position and working with the leisure center's target group. We would like to see that you have knowledge of norm criticism, equality and participation. Training in coaching approaches is also a merit, as is experience of your own non-profit involvement. We would also like to see that you have experience of working with young people with disabilities. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement. Other languages may, depending on the needs of the organization, be an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. B-driving license is a requirement. Furthermore, you are committed, relationship-building and have the ability to connect with young people in a simple and natural way. You are passionate about creating opportunities for young people to grow and develop and are a positive and clear leader. You enjoy working in a diverse and challenging environment and are passionate about supporting and encouraging young people's ideas. You are structured and have the ability to organize things both alone and together with colleagues and the target group. As we are expected to create collaborations both within and outside municipal activities, it is important that you are professional in your role and can act as an ambassador for the activities and for Umeå municipality.
