Vintergatan is a children's home according to § 9 § 8 LSS that opened in August 2025.
Two children with intellectual disabilities and autism live at the home. The business is staffed by a total of 12 employees, of which 6 work awake at night and 6 work day, evening and weekend. We work closely with guardians, schools, nurses and occupational therapists to offer the best possible support for the children.

Your work tasks
As a staff member at Vintergatan, you will work to ensure that every child has a safe, developing and meaningful everyday life. Together in the team, we create the best conditions for the children to grow, develop and be involved in their lives - every day.
The role includes, among other things:
Supporting and participating with the children in their everyday activities, both at home and outdoors
Driving to school with Vintergatan's car and participating in meetings with e.g. school, habilitation, BUP
Helping children with personal hygiene
Responsible for normal household chores such as cooking, cleaning and washing dishes
Maintain close contact with parents and relatives of the children
Documenting in the medical record and care plan
Medication administration and management of epileptic seizures
Collaborate with manager and colleagues, including at regular APT meetings
Acting out and self-harming behavior occurs. Co-planning with other activities may take place later.
Working hours are day, evening and weekend.
About you
To succeed and thrive in your work with us, you have a good ability to cooperate and be flexible. Of course, you have a professional approach to children, relatives and other stakeholders around you. You are committed, share our values and want to develop and work towards set goals together with the manager and colleagues. As the children are fast-paced, you also need to have good mobility and energy. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, in order to be able to communicate with the children, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in documentation and obtain medication
Requirements
Successful completion of upper secondary education
Experience with persons with intellectual disabilities/autism
Experience of acting out and self-harming behavior
Swimming skills, as we will be swimming with the children in the future
B-driving license, to be able to drive the children
Meritorious
Trained nurse, nanny or other education that the employer considers equivalent
Training in low-effective treatment, epilepsy, AAC and/or TAKK
Experience of the Treserva system

As we work with children, smoking is not allowed during working hours.
