Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.
Godemansvägen 40 is a group home according to LSS with a focus on people with intellectual disabilities. Six residents live here in their own apartments, with access to common areas such as the kitchen and living room for social interaction and community.

Your work tasks
As a support and care staff, you will support the users in their everyday lives with granted efforts such as food, cleaning, laundry, personal care, transfers and planning and participation in activities. Your way of working is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security.
You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the users' own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work also includes documentation, record keeping, work with implementation plans and medicine management.
- Heavy lifting occurs in the workplace
- Threats and violence may occur in the workplace
- Working hours are day/evening, on-call (sleeping nights) and weekend
- Co-planning with other activities may occur
About you
As a person, you have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and with continuous improvements.

In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements
High school diploma
A few years' experience of working in disability care
Able to swim
Meritorious
Nursing and care program, child and leisure program or other education that the employer considers equivalent
Experience of working with intellectual disabilities
Experience of flame-effective treatment
