Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Kronoskogsvägen 81A is a group home within LSS that is aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. Six users live here who need support and care around the clock. Each person has their own apartment, while common areas such as the kitchen and living room create opportunities for social interaction and security. The home also has access to a pleasant patio that invites to community and relaxation. We are now looking for a new important colleague! Your tasks As a support and care staff, you will support the users in their everyday lives with granted efforts such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, walking, transfers and planning and carrying out activities. The work is based on established routines and a rehabilitative approach. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the users' own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You help to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The organization often uses signs to support communication, which helps to strengthen the users' participation and self-determination. The work also includes administrative tasks such as documentation, record-keeping, drawing up and following up implementation plans and medication management. - Working hours are day, evening and weekend - Heavy lifting occurs, aids are available - Co-planning with other activities may take place About you You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. We also look for commitment and openness to development work, both in your own workplace and in the entire field of activity. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements: High school diploma A few years' experience of working in disability care Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities Meritorious: Trained nurse, childcare worker, social worker or other training that the employer considers equivalent Experience in the use of low-touch techniques Experience in using signs as support Other information To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
