Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Umedalsallén is a special service home with room for six residents located in a ten-story house at Umedalen's sculpture park. The residents are between 20-40 years old and have different types of psychiatric disabilities. The operations are built around a shared apartment where staff are available around the clock. We are now looking for an important colleague to Umedalsallén! Your work tasks In the role of support and care staff at Umedalsallén, you support people with mental disabilities in their everyday lives. Your mission is to provide individually adapted, social and practical support that strengthens the individual's abilities and creates conditions for increased independence and participation. You will help to ensure that each individual has a meaningful everyday life with opportunities for leisure activities and/or employment. The work also involves collaboration with other actors such as care providers, administrators and authorities. The tasks vary depending on the individual's needs and may include support in the home such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, nursing and social support through conversations, walks and attendance. The role also includes administrative tasks such as documentation, record keeping, preparation and follow-up of implementation plans and medication management. In the business, we apply a low-effective approach, where cooperation and good communication within the work group are crucial to create security and stability for the residents and to prevent situations of concern, threats or violence. - Working hours are scheduled with day, evening and weekend work and on-call combination. - Furry animals (cats) and smoking are present in the workplace so you should not be allergic - Co-planning with other activities may occur About you You are flexible, responsible and have good interpersonal skills. You meet users and relatives with a professional and respectful approach and have the ability to create trusting relationships. We want you to be curious, committed and share our values - with a willingness to contribute to development and work with continuous improvements. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, and to be able to document and access care documentation and obtain delegation for medication management, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing. Requirements: High school diploma A few years of experience of working in disability care Experience of work involving situations of threat and violence Meritorious: Experience of working in social psychiatry Trained nurse, child care worker, social worker or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience of working with people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses Experience of working with substance abuse Other information To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
