Daily activities should contribute to personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and conditions.
The activities must include habilitation, opportunities for development and production-oriented tasks. This is to enable meaningful employment based on current legislation. The overall goal of daily activities is to develop the individual's independence, create a sense of context and the opportunity to work.
Aros consists of several units, most of which are located in the same building at Carlshem, but we also have a group based in the Nydala area. The target group has neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental illness and/or co-morbidity, but other disabilities also occur.
In Aros film and photo, participants work with, for example, photography, editing, recordings, etc. The scope and content of the assignments are adapted based on the group's participants and their abilities. Many assignments are carried out outside Aros' premises. This means that both participants and staff need to be flexible in their workplace, motivated by working with development and collaborating with other actors. In Aros film and photo, there are 3 employees who work closely with each other. The number of participants can vary depending on the assignment and the participants' schedule.
