Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.
Daily activities should contribute to personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and conditions. The activities must include habilitation, opportunities for development and production-oriented tasks. This is to enable meaningful employment based on current legislation. The overall goal of daily activities is to develop the individual's independence, create a sense of context and the opportunity to work.
Group 8 is aimed at people with an intellectual disability who have a need for clear structure and communication. Participants learn to cooperate and socialize by performing various physical, fine and gross motor tasks.
Many of the activities offered during the day are aimed at giving participants an outlet for their energy and developing their personal goals, which are set together with the organization. Examples of tasks carried out in the daily activities are firewood handling, dismantling, making kindling rolls and outdoor physical activities/tasks. The business is located in industrial premises and there is a high noise level.
We are now looking for a support assistant!
Your tasks
Your main tasks consist of planning, leading, structuring and developing activities based on the individual's needs to create a meaningful daily activity that promotes independence and participation. You are part of a team where you, together with your colleagues, have a shared responsibility for planning and developing the activities based on the participants' interests and individual conditions.
You will be part of a team where you are jointly responsible for planning activities and designing participants' individual schedules. The role also includes documentation, such as record keeping and the preparation and follow-up of implementation plans.
Heavy lifting and situations of threat and violence may occur in the workplace.
Scheduled working hours: daytime Monday to Friday
Co-planning occurs between our activities within Disability Care.
About you
We are looking for you who have a genuine commitment to working with people and who are driven by developing the business together with colleagues and residents. You are curious and enterprising in your work with users and enjoy the success of individuals. Furthermore, you are calm and confident in your role and follow procedures to achieve good quality in your work. You have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
In order for you to be able to communicate with users and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements
Educated social worker, child care worker, assistant nurse or another education that the employer considers equivalent.
Knowledge and experience of autism and intellectual disabilities
B driving license
Meritorious
Experience of working in disability care
Experience of working in daily activities
Experience of working with challenging behaviors
Experience of low-effective treatment
Experience of clarifying pedagogy
Knowledge and experience of TAKK, MI and/or Supported Employment
