Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Kuratorvägen and Fruktvägen are children's homes according to § 9 § 8 LSS - housing with special services for children and young people with disabilities. Staff are available around the clock to provide support and care based on each child's individual needs. We offer a safe home environment where children have the opportunity for social interaction, development and meaningful activities, both inside and outside the home. Together we work to create participation, strengthen the children's independence and give them the best possible everyday life. We are now looking for two support assistants! Your work tasks As a support assistant with us at Kuratorvägen/Fruktvägen, you work to ensure that every child has a safe, developing and meaningful everyday life. Together in the team, we create the best conditions for the children to grow, develop and be involved in their lives - every day. The role includes, among other things: Supporting and participating with the children in their everyday activities, both at home and outdoors Driving to school and, as a contact person, participating in meetings with e.g. the school Helping with personal hygiene Carrying out normal household chores such as cooking, cleaning and washing up Maintain close contact with parents and relatives of the children Documenting in the medical record and care plan Medication administration and management of epileptic seizures Collaborate with manager and colleagues - Acting out and self-harming behavior occurs - The working hours are day, evening, weekend and daytime. - Co-planning occurs between our activities in disability care. About you To succeed and thrive in your work with us, you have a good ability to cooperate and be flexible. Of course, you have a professional approach to children, relatives and other stakeholders around you. You are committed, share our values and want to develop and work towards set goals together with the manager and colleagues. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Requirements Trained nurse, childcare worker or other equivalent education Experience of working in disability care Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication B driving license, to be able to drive the children Current extract from the criminal record without remarks Meritorious Experience of flame-effective treatment in connection with threat and violence situations Experience with self-harming behavior in children or adults Other information To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
