Support assistant Mirum, daily activities Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Support assistant
Work model On location
Application due date 28 December 2025
Are you the one? Daily activities should contribute to meaningful employment, personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and conditions.
The overall goal of daily activities is to develop the individual's independence, build participation, create a sense of context and the opportunity for work.
Mirum is a daily activity for adults in disability care and consists of two departments, Mirum 1 and Mirum 2. Here you meet participants who are mainly within the autism spectrum condition, have intellectual disabilities, PWS or similar needs, in some cases situations with threats, violence or self-harm may occur.
At Mirum, we work with clear structure, stable routines with close supervisory support. Most activities take place individually or in small groups, to create security and predictability. As a supervisor, you work flame-efficiently, solution-focused and structured, with great flexibility and a calm approach. Cooperation in the work group is central and together we create a safe and sustainable environment for the participants - where we actively prevent challenging behaviors and support development and participation.
We are now looking for a support assistant who wants to contribute to meaningful employment for our participants!
Your work tasks
As a support assistant, you will plan, lead, structure and develop activities and tasks based on each participant's individual needs. Your work aims to create meaningful employment and provide conditions for increased independence for the participants.
You will be part of a team where you are jointly responsible for planning activities and designing participants' individual schedules.
In your approach, you are expected to be flexible, create continuity and contribute to safety. You work in a low-effectiveness manner and use clarifying pedagogy to strengthen communication and treatment. We place high demands on the ability to treat the target group in a professional manner and to establish and maintain an agreed structure in the activities.
The role also includes documentation, such as record keeping and the preparation and follow-up of implementation plans.
To be able to communicate with participants, relatives and colleagues - and to be able to read and write care documentation and receive medication - you need to have a good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
About you
We would like to see that you have an education as a social worker, child care worker or other behavioral education that is considered equivalent.
We are looking for you who have good knowledge and experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities, preferably in combination with autism. You have the ability to create structure, plan and motivate individuals in their everyday lives and development. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in both independent work and working in groups. You are professional in your approach, collaborative and have basic computer skills.
Requirements for the position:
Knowledge and experience of autism and intellectual disability
Experience of working in disability care
B driving license
Meritorious:
Experience of low-effective treatment
Experience of clarifying pedagogy
Experience of working with challenging behaviors
Experience of working in daily activities
