Daily activities should contribute to personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and conditions. The overall goal of daily activities is to develop the individual's independence, create a sense of context and the opportunity for work.

Neva's daily activities are aimed at people with autism or similar needs, with or without intellectual disabilities. The participants need close supervisory support. In some cases, threats and violence or self-harm may occur.

We are now looking for a support assistant, as we are expanding the business!

Your duties

Your main tasks consist of planning, leading and developing meaningful activities based on each individual's needs and conditions. The aim is to create a stimulating and content-rich daily activity that strengthens the participant's independence and participation. Your mission includes providing individually adapted support - both social and practical - to promote the individual's personal development and contribute to meaningful employment.

You will be part of a team where you and your colleagues are jointly responsible for planning the activities, and the participants' individual schedules. Documentation is also included in the service through record keeping and the preparation and follow-up of implementation plans. Co-planning with other activities in disability care also occurs.

At Neva's daily activities, we work with clear structure, stable routines and close supervisory support. Most activities take place individually, or in a smaller group, to create security and predictability. As a supervisor, you work in a low-impact, solution-focused and structured way with great flexibility and a calm approach. Cooperation in the work group is central and together we create a safe and sustainable environment for the participants - where we actively prevent challenging behaviors and support development and participation.

About you

Your way of working should be characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. We work with low-effective treatment and strengthen our communication with clarifying pedagogy. As a person, you have good collaboration skills, professional treatment and are creative in the creation of work tasks and group activities. Furthermore, you have the ability to structure, plan, motivate and support individuals to achieve their goals. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain any medication delegation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Requirements:

  • Trained assistant nurse, leisure educator or other education that the employer considers relevant to the service.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism.

Additional:

  • Signs as support (AAC/TAKK).
  • Low-effective response to extroversion and/or threats and violence.
  • Clarifying pedagogy.

To ensure that the people called for interview are the ones who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions. The selection questions are based on the requirements for the position and you answer the questions in connection with your application. It is therefore important that you answer the selection questions and do not refer to the CV/personal letter.

OBS! Do you have protected personal data? Please contact Recruitment Support on 090-16 10 99 or at rekrytering@umea.se, and they will help you with a secure application process.

Before an offer of employment, we ask you to present an extract from the police's criminal record. This is done as a final step in the recruitment process.
