Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in close proximity and interaction. Within special housing, there are group and service homes according to LSS for people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.
Grubbevägen is a group home under LSS for people with intellectual disabilities.
The home has six apartments connected to common areas, which include an office and a day room. The individual support is mainly based on the individual's apartment.
We now want to welcome two new employees to our business!
Your tasks
You will provide everyday support to people with mental and/or intellectual disabilities. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individually tailored support, both social and practical, based on each individual's needs. Through a methodical, long-term and goal-oriented approach, you contribute to strengthening the user's abilities, participation and influence. Working in a low-impact manner in situations of threat and violence is also part of the job. Together with the users, you create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life.
You will support the users practically with cleaning, laundry, cooking, personal hygiene, leisure interests / activities, and handling medicines. As the organization has access to a minibus, you will also drive it to various initiatives and activities.
The work tasks also include various types of administration such as planning support, documentation, record keeping and drawing up implementation plans. Follow-up and evaluation of the work will be a natural part of the activities. Contacts with other care providers, administrators and authorities are also part of the work.
Co-planning occurs between our activities in the Disability Care.
Working hours are day / evening / weekend and daytime.
About you
We are looking for you who have a genuine commitment to working with people and who are driven by developing the business together with colleagues and residents. You are curious and enterprising in your work with users and feel great rewards in the success of individuals. Furthermore, you are calm and confident in your role and follow routines to achieve good quality in your work. You have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read
care documentation and obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements
Trained assistant nurse, support educator, social worker, psychologist or other education that we consider equivalent
Experience of working in disability care
B driving license
Meritorious
Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities
Experience of flame-effective treatment in situations of threat and violence
Experience in working with different types of structural and communication support
