Kattfotsvägen 16 is a group home according to LSS located in Umedalen, for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Your work tasks
As a support assistant at Kattfotsvägen, your mission is to provide individually adapted support, both practical and social, that strengthens each person's ability to live as independent a life as possible. Your mission is to encourage, motivate and create participation in daily life.
The work is varied and may involve you:
Supporting in creating a clear structure in everyday life based on each individual's needs
Supporting in everyday chores
Accompany as a combination staff on daily activities
Accompany and support our residents on, among other things, exercise, swimming, walking and other leisure interests that our residents have
Through participation and structure, you contribute to creating a developing everyday life towards an independent life. Every day we support the residents towards increased participation so that each individual can live life in their own way. There is a lot of physical activity in the work such as walking, cycling and swimming with the users. Furthermore, we apply a low-effective approach in the business, where cooperation and good communication within the work group are crucial to create security and stability for the residents and to prevent situations of concern, threats or violence - which can occur in the workplace.
You will work closely with both colleagues and other professionals to find the best solutions together and contribute to an open, developing and safe working environment.
Scheduled working hours day, evening and weekend.
About you
We are looking for you with a keen interest in working with people, and who always meet others with warmth, respect and patience. You believe in the ability of each individual and are driven by seeing people grow. You are calm, confident, patient and responsive. You are also full of ideas and initiative, with a great deal of commitment and drive, and who, with curiosity and energy, want to be involved in developing the business together with us. You are passionate about finding new ways to make everyday life even better for our users and want to be an active part of our ongoing development and change work. Since the position involves physical activity such as walking, swimming and cycling, we see that you have an interest in and enjoy an active working day. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
Requirements
High school diploma
Some years of experience in disability care
Meritorious
If you are a trained nurse, trained care assistant, social worker or other training that the employer considers relevant.
Experience of low-effective treatment in connection with threat and violence situations
Experience of working with different types of structural and communication support
In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read care documentation and obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
