Kompassgatan 4 is a group home for people with intellectual disabilities, there is room for six people and it is located in scenic Tavleliden. All residents have their own apartment and receive support and help from the staff based on their individual needs. The home is an environment where people are treated with respect and compassion and given the opportunity to develop at their own level.
We are now looking for a support assistant!
Your tasks will be
You will supervise and support people with intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. You will provide individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to enable people to participate in their everyday lives and have meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work includes personal care, practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
You will also participate in leisure activities such as visits to the cinema, walks and exercise. With us, a good physique is required as you move a lot in the work, accompanying users on, for example, group training, cycling and floorball.
Working hours are day/evening, weekend and day. Co-planning occurs between our activities in Disability Care.
About you
As a person, you are confident, curious and committed. You have good collaboration skills and a professional approach to users, colleagues and other networks around our users. It is important that you share our values, work towards set goals, work with continuous improvements and take responsibility for the common work environment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements:
Nursing and care program, child and leisure program, social work program or other education that the employer considers equivalent
Experience of working in health and social care, e.g. in LSS homes or elderly care
Meritorious:
Experience of diabetes treatment, own or through work
Experience of communication aids such as AAC and clarifying pedagogy
Experience of working with people with disabilities
