Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Öbackavägen's short-term accommodation prepares young adults with disabilities for their own housing by strengthening their ability to live an independent life. The target group for the activities is adults who have been granted short-term accommodation under LSS. The target group includes a wide range of neuropsychiatric, mental, intellectual and physical disabilities and diagnoses. The accommodation is located in an apartment building in the Öbacka area and can accommodate up to four people at a time. We are now looking for a support assistant for our operations! Your work tasks As an employee at Öbackavägen's short-term accommodation, you work to create a safe, meaningful and developing stay. The tasks include, among other things, supporting, based on individual needs, with common household chores, personal care / intimate hygiene and social interactions. The work also includes documentation in medical records and implementation plans and contributing to the joint quality and development work. The working hours are day, evening, weekend and day-night. Heavy lifting occurs in the workplace. Threats and violence may occur. Co-planning occurs between our activities in disability care About you As a person, you are confident, curious and committed. You have good collaboration skills and a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. It is important that you share our values, work towards set goals and take responsibility for the common working environment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, and to write and read care documentation, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements: Nursing and Care Program, Child and Leisure Program, Social Work Program or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience of working with people with disabilities. Meritorious: Experience in alternative complementary communication (AAC). Experience in clarifying pedagogy. Experience in low impact approach. Experience in positive behavioral support (PBS).
