Support and care in Umeå municipality is now expanding its operations with full-time support assistants for an exciting and developing assignment in companionship! For two years, we have the opportunity to hire companions who mainly work with adults and children with disabilities.

We want to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Now you have the chance to help shape a new way of working together with committed colleagues.

About the assignment

As an escort, your main task is to provide support for activities outside the home - for example, sports, culture, walks or other leisure activities. The work requires you to be able to handle a wheelchair or other assistive devices that can be physically demanding to some extent.

You will belong to the LSS authority and work closely with both colleagues and individuals. Since the position is new in the municipality, you will be involved in developing working methods and routines - an assignment that is both stimulating and meaningful.

How many hours of companionship each individual is entitled to is decided based on needs - you will provide support to several people based on their wishes and life situation.

The working hours are scheduled day, evening and weekend.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• As a trained assistant nurse or have other training that the employer deems relevant
• Has experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism and / or mental illness
• Experience working with low-effective treatment in the event of extroversion and / or threats and violence
• Has a B driving license
• Has a valid extract from the criminal record

Meriterande:

• Experience from care, school or disability care
• Experience of working with individuals who have NPF diagnoses
• Sign as support or sign language (TAKK)

You need to be calm and confident in yourself. Furthermore, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues and take part in documentation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Furry animals may be present, so you should not be allergic.
